Charles Rawlings-Way Charles first made Toronto's acquaint-ance when he was eight, flying in from Tasmania to assess the squirrels and his uncle's
croissants.He's since cultivated a Toronto habit, shift-ing focus towards baseball, bookshops and beer. He's been snowed-in by blizzards,bamboozled by microbrews, rocked earless in grungy bars and overwhelmed by global culinary delights. A meek decision to avoid the giant trampoline at Ontario Place in 1978 haunts him to this day...
A lapsed architect, underrated guitarist and fearless home renovator, Charles greased the production wheels at Lonely Planet's Mel-bourne HQ for many years before becoming a freelance travel writer in 2005.
