作者简介：MARA VORHEES，Coordinating Author, Southern Costa Rica,Peninsula de Osa & Golfo Dulce, Caribbean Coast The first time Mara strayed from the jungle trail was in 1996, in Corcovado, where she spotted her first toucan. The second was in Parque Nacional Cahuita,where she found herself sipping jugos at a caf. Her most recent fiasco was in La Amistad, where she found - or rather, was found by - a park ranger named Henry. She has learned from Costa Rica that getting lost in the jungle leads
to brilliant discoveries. In the meantime, Mara spent four years working on a sustainable development research program at Harvard University. But she prefers to witness sustainable development first-hand.
