Born and raised on the Kansas prairie, nothing was more alarming to Emily Hughey Quinn than being surrounded by salt water on three sides. She moved to Los Cabos, Mexico, in 2003 after launching Cabo Living magazine and falling for the man of her dreams, an avid free diver and spearfisherman who not only introduced her to the bliss of freediving, but also kept her freezer full of fish for nearly 4 years.
